A first look, and the first actual picture we've seen, of the new ZVUE! personal video player from HandHeld Entertainment. Still no confirmation of when it might actually hit stores. Read [Via I4U.com]...

Is Parson a scapegoat? : Michael Gartenberg  : [6:40:50 AM]

Anil Dash disagrees with me about Parson and thinks he is a scapegoat.

Pason is more than a scapegoat. He modified a known virus in an attempt to wreak more havoc. Did it do as much damage as Sobig? No, but I don’t think that’s the point. Anyone who goes in this direction of attacking public infrastructure should be punished, not romanticized. As for assigning blame to Microsoft, they of course bear the burden of making their systems more secure but as I have pointed out in the past, finger pointing at Redmond doesn’t resolve the issues nor does it relieve users of the bearing responsibilities for the systems they own or deploy.

Review of LG's all-format DVD burner : Gizmodo  : [6:10:20 AM]
There been been a few dual-format DVD burners to come out that can handle both competing recordable DVD standards out there (DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW), but CNET reviews LG Electronics's GSA-4040B, which looks like the first drive to support those two formats as well as DVD-RAM.
